How to zoom to layer

Sometimes when working with data in a desktop mapping software like QGIS, the geographic extent of the data you are working with shifts out of the project frame.

A really helpful technique to know about is Zoom to Layer, which helps you locate any data layer on the map.

  1. Right-click the data layer you want to center in the layer list.

  2. Select Zoom to layer.
